Children with Special Needs Support
Early Childhood Services
Aucare’s early childhood supports include specialised support for children with autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and vision impairment.

We connect families with mainstream services such as child and family health services, kindergartens, community health, regional parenting services, child care, playgroups and occasional care.

Services fall into the following categories:

  • Local, state and Australian government services and programs, which are usually provided free of charge
  • Not-for-profit services and programs, which are mostly funded by government and are free, low cost or partly subsidised
  • Private services and programs, which you have to pay for in full unless your child is eligible for financial support.
We support you and your child with skill development programs, behaviour management techniques, social and communication skills development, and respite services.

Our respite support include the time your child spends with our support workers either in your home or in the community attending social or recreational programs or activities. Support can be for a few hours or for longer periods of time and includes parents group/ children play groups, music and art therapy.
